My picture for today is all about Sam's latest school project. She received the assignment about a month ago, and it's due tomorrow. She's doing a Powerpoint presentation about James Madison's life and contributions to our country. She was thrilled that she drew his name since Pat and I went to JMU,and we thought it was pretty cool, too. She's been researching in books and online, and learning to cite sources as she goes. She already knows how to navigate within Powerpoint to place text and pictures, and she knows how to pick different designs and create transitions between slides. So tonight, without any input from Mom, her project is pretty much ready. The teacher part of me thought she needed some more info, so we're doing some websearches during dinner preparation. She's been fiercely protective of this project and has not let me offer any assistance, so we'll see if she decides to use what we find tonight. If I could only get her to let me help with the mechanics...
