Today was my first day back in the real world. I arrived at work at 6:30 (am), and (almost) made good on my promise to be out of the building by 5:00. The half hour extra was not my fault, my friends kept talking to me. :-) My FABULOUS heather grey Candies, however, only made it until 3:45. I just absolutely LOVE those shoes, and they looked good with my "winter white" slacks. Usually I can manage a full 12 hours in my Candies, but my feet must have gotten too accustomed to only being in socks because by the time I took all my students to their buses, I was ready to pound in someone's head with those beautiful spikey heels. My feet were so sore that I couldn't even put them on to walk to the car, so I wore my monkey slippers for the ride home, instead. I love the picture of my school bag with the Candies falling out of them; I see it as a perfect juxtaposition of my life as an educator of small children with my desire to look like a grownup, even when I'm not acting like one. And you have to admit,those are FABULOUS shoes!!

ha ha I don't even wear shoes like that and I do work with adults. I'm a heels wimp! Good for you.
