Today was one of those days. I got to school by 6:30, and spent the next hour and a half getting ready for the day and making sure I was ready to present at the staff meeting at 8 am. I had a sub in my room at 11:30 am for an Eligibility meeting that was supposed to last an hour, and ended up going until 2:00. The end result was good, really good, but it was a difficult meeting, and some heart strings were pulled on both sides of the table. I left feeling exhausted physically and mentally, knowing that I would be saying good bye to part of my heart within the next month. AND I still had to go teach for 1 1/2 more hours! We left school after I got my kids on the bus, rushing to an orthodontist appt for Cameron and me. We also got x-rays done of Sam's canines, then rushed to the Barbershop to get Cam's locks trimmed. I say trimmed because I think it's still too long, but he likes it and I can see his eyes. Then a quick trip to Staples for file folders before we drove to Kohl's in Manassas. Cam needed something to wear to First Confession; 30 minutes and $150 later we had a Chaps suit, shirt, belt and shoes! We grabbed Wendy's then headed back to school for Sam's 4th grade science fair meeting at 7 pm. Phew! Home by 8:30, just in time for kids' bedtime and Grey's for me. Plus, during the mad rush through Kohl's, I partook in a bit of retail therapy...

...and I feel better! Plus they were on clearance for only $25, so there won't even be any post-purchase guilt. Overall, it was a productive day for a working mom! Please let tomorrow be boring...
